Official support of the Pays de la Loire Region and the Metropolis of Le Mans during the presentation of the cultivation of industrial hemp
Saturday 4 July 2020, Qairos Energies has signed the first industrial hemp cultivation contract with Magalie Rhodé, farmer member of the Farmers of Loué cooperative. This signature took place under the patronage of Stéphane Le Foll, former Minister of Agriculture, President of the Le Mans Sarthe Metropolitan Pole, by Christelle Morançais, President of the Pays de la Loire Region, by Louis-Jean de Nicolay, senator from Sarthe and Catherine Paineau, departmental councilor. were also present: Christopher Busson, Mayor of Mareil-en-Champagne ; Vanessa Charbonneau, Vice-President of the Region in charge of European Affairs ; and Daniel Coudreuse, regional councilor and Michel Dauton, President of the Sarthe Chamber of Agriculture.
This event was an opportunity to present and explain the Qairos Energies project to the elected officials present and to the press., as well as revealing the environment conducive to the development of the project in the Le Mans metropolis. With ECOH2 (project submitted as part of the national AMI last April), the Le Mans Sarthe metropolitan center wishes to develop the uses of hydrogen, by placing Qairos Energies’ green gas production at the heart of the ecosystem.

The second capital opening was completed in early July, with the entry of private investors from the region, including many “business angels”. Everyone believes in the potential and the success of this Loire nugget!
Support for cooperatives and chambers of agriculture for the cultivation of industrial hemp
Qairos Energies received letters of support for the development of the project from the Pays de la Loire Chamber of Agriculture in early July., of the National Federation of Hemp Growers (Hemp-it) and the Presidency of the Farmers' Agricultural Cooperative of Loué (Coffee). Farmers are interested in both growing industrial hemp as a complementary crop in their rotations, to the recovery of animal waste and of course to the use, as potential customers, locally produced biogas (carbon dioxide, methane and hydrogen).

ICAM's technical results validate the industrial process
In the first semester 2020, ICAM professors and engineering students tested the gasification potential of hemp, by reproducing the process on a prototype scale. The results obtained validate with great success the technical and industrial hypotheses of Qairos Energies and open the way to the industrial demonstrator.
